Anonym.es Privacy Policy

anonym.es is here to remove information. When you forward through us, we drop the Referer header before sending you on to the destination, and that is the whole job of the service.

Two cookies can appear: a session cookie once you use the shortener or sign in to the dashboard, and a small first-party analytics cookie that tells our own statistics whether a visit is new or returning.

The link anonymizer needs no account, name or email. Links you generate are built in your browser. Short links come with an optional account so you can manage them, and all it stores is a login and a password. Our statistics run on our own server and record the visited page, the referring site, the browser type and an IP address that we share with nobody.

Paid plans go through our payment partner at cartpay.cv. Your card or crypto details are entered on their side and never reach us. We get back only a confirmation, and we keep a record of the plan you bought, the amount and the date, tied to your account. A promo code, if you use one, is checked and stored the same way.

If you turn on notifications about new mail for a temp mail address, we keep the technical subscription address your browser issued, plus the page language. Its only use is to send a signal that mail has come. The signal itself is empty. Neither the mail address nor anything from the message goes to the notification service of the browser. The record is deleted when you turn notifications off or when the address is gone. With the subscription we keep what a notification may show: nothing about the message, the address of the sender, or the address and the subject. The server does not know the sender and the subject of a sealed message. Your browser opens them, and for that it keeps a copy of the key of the address. If you turn on the service notices in your account, the same technical subscription address is tied to the account, and we keep a list of the service messages already sent to you, so that none is repeated.

The destination you open is a separate site with its own rules. Once you leave anonym.es, that site's privacy policy takes over from ours.
