Anonym.es Terms of Use

anonym.es is offered as-is and for free, with no guarantee that it will always be up or free of errors. Use it at your own discretion.

Do not use the service to send people toward malware, phishing, or anything illegal. We block destinations at our discretion and can add domains to the block list at any time.

We are a forwarding step only. We do not create, own, or endorse the pages you link to, and we are not responsible for what they contain.

If something here is misused in a way that causes harm, we may restrict or remove access without notice.

The link anonymizer and short links are free. Pro, Pro+ and Max are paid plans that raise the limits and add features. You pay up front for the period you pick, by card or crypto through our payment partner.

Paid plans are non-refundable once active, because access turns on the moment you pay. When you upgrade, the days left on your current plan are converted into the new one by their cash value. We may change prices and what each plan includes, but a change never affects a period you have already paid for.

Temp Mail

A temporary address lives for as long as your plan allows. When that time runs out, or when you delete the address yourself, it is gone for good together with every message it received and sent. There is no bin. An address or its mail cannot be restored.

From the Pro plan up an address can be pinned. A pinned address has no term: it lives for the time of the active plan or while the domain is available. We do not keep mail domains for ever. When a domain stops being served, the addresses on it go with their mail.

When a plan ends or drops, the oldest pinned addresses stay pinned within the new plan. The rest go to the reserve for 30 days. A reserved address keeps its name and takes mail, but the mail cannot be opened and nothing can be sent from it until you renew the plan or make the address temporary. After 30 days a reserved address is deleted with its mail, and anyone may take its name again. The only way we can warn you is a browser notification, if you turned it on: we do not know your email.

The mailbox of every address has a limit of messages and of size, set by the plan. A full mailbox takes no new mail, the sender gets a refusal. Mail that is already there is not deleted.

Pictures in a message stay off until you click to show them. They then come through the anonym.es server, so the sender learns neither your IP address nor your browser. Every link in a message opens through our dereferer, which hides the page you came from.

Mail you send to outside addresses leaves from our mail system. Your IP address appears neither in the message nor in its headers.

An address you create belongs to you alone. It is tied to your account, or to your browser session if you use the service as a guest, and no other visitor can open it, read its mail or send from it. A guest who clears cookies loses the address. Sign in if you want to use an address from several devices.

Mail sent to an address created on the site is stored only in encrypted form. The key of each address is created in your browser and stays there. A guest keeps it in the browser only, and an account also has it protected by the password and the recovery key. Neither the key, the password nor the recovery key is stored with us in readable form, and we have no access to them. Without that key nobody can read the stored mail, and that includes us. The key is deleted together with the address, and after that nobody can open the mail at all. A guest who clears the browser data loses the mail for good. So does an account owner who loses both the password and the recovery key. Mail sent to addresses created through the API is stored encrypted as well. Its key is given to your program once, when the address is created, and we do not keep it.

The content of your mail never reaches any log. Like any website, our web server records page requests with the IP address, the time and the page address. The network that delivers the mail keeps delivery records with sender, recipient and time. Neither holds the text of a message or its attachments.

Temp Mail is for receiving mail and for ordinary replies. Do not send spam, bulk or automated mailings, phishing, threats or anything illegal through it. We delete addresses that break these rules and may close the account behind them without notice.
